On Friday, February 23rd, HALO hosted its 13th Annual Kansas City ArtReach Auction at The Brass on Baltimore. Attendees listened to children who have become heroes of their own stories, transformed through love, encouragement and support – breaking the cycle and becoming a contributing member of our community. By the end of the night, we raised over $200,000 for homeless and at-risk children.
The night kicked off with a silent auction and cocktail hour. After that, everyone sat down for dinner with food and drinks provided by Olive Events, The Brass on Baltimore, Stockyards Brewing Co., Casa De Loco Winery, and Tito’s Vodka. During the dinner, there was an Award Ceremony celebrating a few of those who made an impact this past year.
This is why we do what we do. This is the cycle breaking. It’s the good overcoming evil. It’s defying the odds right in that moment. Rebecca Welsh, HALO Founder
By being a part of HALO, we are helping kids in the worst situations become the heroes of their own stories.Bryan Albers, Honorary Chair
Everyone, from the attendees, donors, and sponsors, to the artists and volunteers, are a part of the HALO family. They are serving as the foundation of a family for children without one, providing housing, healing and education. Thank you!
If you attended the event, we would love to hear from you!
