We wrapped up our fall semester of programs this month. We had a great group of students at JCAC and JCHS! At the end of each class we do a special “Whiteboard Activity” where each student takes turns standing against a whiteboard and all of the other students write words that positively describe that person. At the end, the student gets to turn around and read what everyone wrote about them. It is always really special and makes the students feel very loved!
The teen mothers from HALO’s Transitional Living Program wanted to do something to give back to the community this Christmas so they decided to decorate cookies for the residents at the Rape and Abuse Crisis Shelter. HALO also did a board game and movie drive for the shelter, and were able to bring in a lot of great donations!
We are also SUPER proud that one of the young mothers in the HALO Transitional Living Program graduated from high school this month!
