On Thursday, September 15th, we hosted the 4th Annual "I Defy the Odds" Inspiration Breakfast at The Abbott.
HALO Advocate Board member Sally Sallee & Interior Designer and Host of Magnolia Network's Bargain Mansions, Tamara Day, welcomed guests and partners as they shared why they support HALO.
I've been involved in this organization for over ten years and have watched so many kids rise above their circumstances and become incredible young adults.
These children are going through a really difficult time; it's the least we can do to provide them with a calm and nurturing environment.
Founder, Rebecca Welsh, alongside HALO Alum, Madison, inspired us by sharing her journey to defying the odds, specifically around HALO Housing.
Not only did we hear Madison's story, but we also featured Madison in a new HALO Housing Video. Click "Watch the Impact of HALO Housing" to hear how HALO helped Madison feel empowered.
And to conclude the event, we shared updated renderings and building updates as we recently broke ground for our future KC Headquarters, Learning Center, Boys' Home, & Girls' Home.
