The Volunteers of the Month for August are those that are behind-the-scenes, providing HALO youth with everything they may need, from diapers to school supplies.
HALO regularly updates our Amazon Wishlists to match the needs of the youth that we serve and the programs we provide. This past month, we have had many donations come in from volunteers everywhere, giving essential items for HALO kids in Jefferson City, MO, and Kansas City, Mo. Thank you to those who are supporting HALO through our Amazon Wishlists.
Kansas City volunteer, Cypher, organized a school supply drive in their neighborhood, donating the supplies to HALO! They were hosting a table in their area to gather supplies for HALO and raise awareness for another organization they volunteer with, Sandy Hook Promise. Thanks to Cypher and their community, youth visiting the HALO Learning Center can stock up on school supplies, feeling prepared for this next school year!
