How you can Make Your Mark with The HALO Foundation

Every year The HALO Foundation picks a different theme to illustrate our mission to empower youth in the greatest need. You may remember our “In My Shoes,” “Share Our Dream” or “Love” campaigns, but 2014 is totally different. This year it’s about you and how you have the power to change the world. So we bring you The HALO Foundation’s 2014 theme: “Make Your Mark.”

2014 is all about empowering you to make your mark on the world by changing the lives of at-risk youth everywhere. What better legacy could you leave? By joining The HALO Foundation, you will make it possible for children from Kansas City to Kampala to grow up happy, healthy, loved and educated. A possibility that was only a dream before HALO; a possibility that was only a dream before you.

HALO Learning Center volunteer, Nikki Schaper, knows that the HALO Foundation is not only making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth, but has also changed her life for the better.

“Seeing even one student smile or laugh as a result of attending my improv class is proof that art is its own type of magic,” Nikki said. “I feel like I learn just as much from my students as they learn from me, and I am thrilled to be able to bring laughter and silliness into their lives, if only for an hour and a half every week.”

Luckily, The HALO Foundation has a myriad of opportunities for you to make your mark in 2014. Whether you want to work directly with our youth in the HALO Learning Center, host a fundraiser, be an intern, become a donor or get your business involved in changing the world, we’ve got the opportunities for you.

Don’t let 2014 become a year of wasted opportunities – for you and for children around the world. Join The HALO Foundation on its journey to empower youth in the greatest need to become contributing members of their communities. We bet you’ll be empowered, too.

So, how will you make your mark this year?
