Bring Your Family Service Night
MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIVES OF HALO KIDS WORLDWIDE AS A FAMILY!
Get the whole family involved at HALO by joining other compassionate families in your area for ClubHALO's "Bring Your Family" Service Night at both the Kansas City and Jefferson City HALO locations.
For this service night, you will enjoy food and a tour of HALO. The rest of the night will include a variety of volunteer projects and compassionate discussions that you and your children can do side-by-side, positively impacting the lives of HALO youth. This is an easy and fun way to come together as a community while helping one more child spend one less day alone.
Dinner will be provided to those that RSVP.

LET'S USE OUR COLLECTIVE CREATIVITY TO MAKE SOMETHING BEAUTIFUL HAPPEN!
Something unique and fundamental to HALO's mission is Art. HALO believes art heals, transforms lives, and gives homeless and at-risk children a safe outlet for self-expression when they feel they don't have have a voice.
For this volunteer project, you can let your inner artist run free and remember that therapeutic art with HALO helps kids process and heal from the trauma of homelessness. That's truly good art!

Make a Friendship Bracelet for a HALO Kid
SPREAD LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP TO CHILDREN WHO NEED IT THE MOST!
When a kid or teen comes to HALO, they are saying that they are alone in this world. It's scary to feel alone, especially in a new place with new people, which is why HALO starts the work immediately when a kid comes through the doors.
For this volunteer project, you will be helping HALO provide the foundation of a family by making a friendship bracelet that HALO will include in a welcome basket for HALO kids all over the world!
Get started with the steps and resources below to show HALO kids everywhere that someone somewhere is in their corner.
1. Gather supplies to make bead bracelets
Fill out this Google Form to receive a bracelet starter kit from HALO (includes materials for one bracelet, instructions, and a tag), if you don't have supplies at home.
If you want to make more than one bracelet, you can purchase similar materials here.
2. Create and make friendship bracelets
Click here for instructions on making a bead bracelet along with compassionate conversation starters to share together.
If you have a different way to make bracelets, feel free to be creative!
3. Add a personal touch for the HALO youth
Within the starter kit, you will find a little tag that says "Made With Love" for the bracelet maker to either write their first name, leave a little note, or draw a picture for the HALO kids that'll receive the bracelet.
