February & March Volunteers of the Month

HALO is so thankful for the efforts of every single one of our volunteers. We are inspired by their love, passion, and willingness to serve. Every month, we get the honor of choosing volunteers from both Kansas City and Jefferson City to recognize as our volunteers of the month. Read more about them and the impact that they make on HALO below.

February Volunteers of the Month

The Virtual HALO ArtReach Auction would not be possible without incredible volunteers. This month, we honor Kaity Woody, Carly Robinson, Meilene Robinette, Judy Miksch, Shantel Klinger and Kelli Jones.

This phenomenal group of volunteers helped with graphic design, social media, mailing save the dates and invitations, marketing, promotion support,  and asking for and securing silent auction items.

Thank you to all so much! You are such an important part of the HALO Family. We are so grateful for your commitment to helping children in the greatest need. We could not do this without you.

March Volunteers of the Month

Jefferson City

Students from Youth Rock Student Ministries cleaned up the HALO Jefferson City Girls Home, inside and out. They cleaned and organized all the art items from our new art room remodel, cleaned and organized the downstairs food pantry, deep cleaned the kitchen and shared living spaces, cleaned the sliding doors, raked and cleaned up the entire outdoor space in front of HALO, swept and mopped the hallways, cleaned the laundry room and learning center, and set up the staff break area.

Kansas City

Hereford House has pledged to provide 250 meals to HALO youth free of charge. These are high-quality fresh meals that have now been served for HALO Haven lunch and delivered to unaffiliated youth. We are so grateful to them for providing quality meals for our kids.
