Meet our HALO Kibuli Homeboys in Uganda! After living on the streets, five boys moved into the HALO Kibuli Home last year. They had never attended school before. Our mentors and caretakers prepared them through homeschooling for two terms, and they attended their official FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL on September 25th.
Our Program Manager, Harriet, shared their excitement to wear uniforms and attend school. Their teachers report they're doing great, and their academics are on track. The boy's only complaint is that the school lunch portions are smaller than they were used to at the home, so the team is sure to have snacks ready for them when they return home!
