HALO as finalist for 2017 ArtsKC Innovator Award

ArtsKC – Regional Arts Council has nominated HALO for the 2017 ArtsKC Innovator Award. The Innovator category selects “nonprofits providing arts education opportunities to underserved communities and creating innovative partnerships to build unique programs.”

18 arts leaders and visionaries in the Kansas City region will be honored at the 14th Annual Awards Luncheon on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at the Kansas City Convention Center, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Of the six awards categories, one honoree from each category will be announced at the luncheon.

Honorees in each Awards Category:

Virtuoso
Individuals who exemplify dedicated volunteerism, artistic contributions and/or work within the KC arts community.

Advocate
Elected or public figures who represents outstanding advocacy for the arts.

Education
School or districts using the arts as a tool for achieving educational excellence in a K-12 setting.
