In our quest to empower youth in the greatest need to become contributing members of their communities, we’re ready to make 2014 our best year yet. In order to serve more at-risk youth in Kansas City or Uganda (or in the other communities we serve), we need your help. In order to help you make your mark on the world in 2014, here are the HALO Foundation’s top five ways you can help us help others:
1) Key Donors for Kansas City HALO Center expansion:
In 2014, we will be tackling the issue we have with our current space – it is not big enough. We have identified our needs and plan to have expansion plans by June. With hundreds of youth and volunteers on our waiting list, this is a top priority. If you are interested in learning more, contact Rebecca Welsh at [email protected].
2) International Ambassadors:
We are on the search for a new team of International Ambassadors committed to being our eyes and ears on the ground in the countries we serve. Opportunities range from Africa to South America to the United States and require a two year commitment. 3) Full or Partial Home Sponsors:
We are currently seeking support for five additional HALO homes in Uganda. With 125 children waiting to be supported by HALO, our search for this support has reached the top of our list. Just taking in one child is worth it. These 125 children deserve a home. 4) ArtReach Auction Support:
This year our ArtReach Auction will be the biggest to date. We are seeking sponsorships, volunteers, and attendees who will help us make this evening a huge success. This includes any items you may like to donate to the live or silent auction (think condo stays, artwork, gift certificates, etc.) Please contact Lisa Fasone at [email protected] if you are interested.
5) Office Support:
As we have grown, our need for an Office Manager becomes more evident every day. Ideally we would like to raise funding for this position and hire a great candidate; however, two consistent Volunteers or Interns would be greatly appreciated.
