Health Report from the Uganda Homes

Health education is important to the HALO family in making sure our children are happy and healthy and grow up with the knowledge they need to prevent disease. In January and February, we talked with our children about the importance of personal hygiene, sanitation, and how to prevent diseases such as typhoid and malaria. Sadly, these two diseases are still pretty common. In January and February 2017, there were eight Gulu girls infected with malaria, three with typhoid, and seven Gulu boys infected with malaria. Some of the other homes had a relatively low number of cases, but this is all the more reason we continue to teach our children what these diseases are and how to prevent them. HALO will continue to give the love and education these children need to grow up to be healthy and happy adults. Read the  full report for all the details.
