January is goal-setting month at HALO and our youth are already well on their way to getting their goals off the ground and turning them into a reality. The Learning Center has made sure our youth have learned how to set goals that are SMART: (S)pecific, (M)easurable, (A)chievable, (R)ewarding, and (T)imely.
Many of our youth set goals that revolve around finishing this semester of school as strong as possible. From goals focused on mastering the different courses they are taking to making sure that they will graduate in a timely manner, they are dedicated to pushing themselves to keep their goals on track.
Once the groundwork for their goals were achieved, they were put to work on creating a visual map. This serves as a reminder that the road to success is an ongoing process that takes constant motivation and determination. We have full faith in our students to see these goals through to the end.
