January Volunteer of the Month

HALO would not be the same without the efforts of every single volunteer that serves the organization. Each month, we have the pleasure of choosing volunteers to recognize as our Volunteers of the Month. Read a bit about both of them below!

Kansas City

HALO is happy to honor Carmen Gramajo-Moser as our January Volunteer of the Month! Carmen is one of HALO's most active MealTrain volunteers, providing healthy, delicious and most importantly, homemade breakfasts and dinners to youth in our HALO Center Programming. Carmen has helped hundreds of youth experiencing hunger, fill their bellies, so they can fill their minds at school for the remainder of the day and get a good nights sleep. We are so thankful to you Carmen! Interested in providing a meal to HALO youth? Click here

Jefferson City

Jefferson City is honored to acknowledge Dori DeCook as our Volunteer of the Month. Dori is amazing! She truly cares about our residents, going above and beyond to make them feel valued, and showing them that they belong. Dori does this by spending one on one time with the girls, taking them to run errands and planning special activities.  Our residents look forward to Tuesdays every week because they know Dori will be there.
