HALO Honors July Volunteers of the Month

If there's one thing we are sure of, we have the best volunteers on the planet! The HALO family is so much better because of the time and effort they invest in our youth programs, and those who volunteer behind the scenes are equally as important. They make us better each and every day. Get to know a bit about our Volunteers of the Month for July, Norma and Kim!

Jefferson City: Norma Rose started signing up for transportation immediately after volunteer training and found so many ways she could help us at the home. Norma showed up to the HALO home the day after the tornado to see if she could help with anything. She is super willing to do what ever needs to be done, she is so patient and kind. We love having Norma as part of our HALO tribe.

Kansas City: Kim Ansari has been a great support to HALO over the years. Her gallery Perennial Places hosts art shows to benefit HALO, connecting well-known artists with our cause and donating artwork to our annual ArtReach Auction. She also has connected HALO with an inspiring woman in the Kansas City community Big Sonia. In addition, she has served as an incredible mentor to our HALO youth Madison. Her guidance helped Madison hone in on her craft and led Madison to her first art opening where she created 16 pieces and raised funds to go into her savings. Thank you, Kim, for all you have done for HALO.
