Sixteen-year old HALO child, Marjai, was recently featured in an article about bearing the burden of being homeless while in school, which is a reality for nearly 2,000 children in Kansas City. The story is part of Kansas City Public Television’s campaign, Take Note, which aims at uncovering where local school systems are failing and succeeding.
