The 5th graders of PS 183 in New York City held a rummage sale on Saturday, March 24th, to benefit HALO. Every year, PS 183 holds a Social Action Day and this year students chose HALO as one of their causes to support. They raised over $2,000, including $600 for HALO!
We’re so impressed by the compassion and organization of these students. Thank you to the teachers and parents who supported them as well as everyone who came out to the rummage sale!
Their next event is a kick-a-thon to benefit the Kenya house on April 20th.

Time and again, we’ve seen the impact kids can make on their community and their fellow kids. If your child is interested in helping other kids in their community, check out our Change that Counts program. Do you have ideas on how to help homeless and at-risk children in your community? Reach out to Chelsea at ch[email protected]. We’d love to hear from you!
