Our Kansas City volunteer of the month is our Meal Train Volunteers! The Meal Train is a special group of volunteers that provide warm meals for our kids during Learning Center workshops. This group has been especially important during COVID when we have kids in the Learning Center every day during HALO Haven. Special thanks to Carmen Gramaho-Moser, Libby Kreighbaum, Melissa Batz, and Lacy Gordon.
Jefferson City
Mercedes Porter has been planning and creating meals for residents every week. She has been working with HALO youth to discuss healthy, delicious meals, and then showing them how to make them! Mercedes uses her sweet personality and cooking skills to build positive relationships with residents and makes tasty treats that we all love!
