Every year, a 6th grade leadership team at Prairie Elementary conducts a Community Outreach Project with a local nonprofit. This year, they partnered with HALO to host a school-wide Change that Counts fundraiser. During the week of April 9th, students became Change Ambassadors and raised $1,307.95. That means we can provide 5,232 meals for children in need!
Thank you to the Prairie Elementary students, families, teachers, and administrators for joining HALO in our promise that no HALO child will worry about where their next meal will come from.
Our goal for 2018 is to raise enough funds to provide all HALO meals for an entire year. Specifically, thats 509,175 meals. We’ve crunched the numbers and found that 25 cents provides a warm meal to a child in need. Just one quarter!
