Here at HALO, we appreciate the love and support shown by our volunteers and staff. Their dedication is what helps HALO grow and thrive. Every month, we get the honor of choosing volunteers of the month.
Our Kansas City September Volunteer of the Month is Bob Daum.
He goes to the Salvation Army workshops almost weekly and was the first to sign up to help with HALO Haven. We also recently asked volunteers to help us with researching different resources around the city. Bob shared information about several great organizations that will be a great help to our kids. Thank you, Bob!
The Jefferson City September Volunteer of the Month is all the staff, interns, and volunteers that helped to get all our new furniture put together and help the Jefferson City Girls Home look and feel like a real home.
They have all been working very hard to make the home a beautiful, inspiring place to be. The gym, Book Club Area, girls’ rooms, and common team space have all been updated. Additionally, they will be working on the kitchen space, a staff break area, a workstation, and the downstairs common area in the coming weeks. Great work everyone! Check out some of the new home photos below.
