No gesture is too small when done with gratitude.

Tis the season to give back!
For November, HALO has had so many people step up to ensure HALO youth have food and positive memories during a typically uncertain time in their lives.
From filling Halloween buckets with candy for days to feeding around 40 mouths, the Kansas City Advocate Board is KC's November Volunteers of the Month! These women stepped up and brought so much love to the HALO youth. Not only did they make sure every HALO youth had food for Thanksgiving, but they spent time at the HALO Thanksgiving Party making crafts and playing with the kids.

In Jefferson City, our Thanksgiving festivities were set and scheduled, but we had a last-minute roadblock... Our food donation fell through! We called on our truly incredible supporters in the Jefferson City area and started a sign-up list. The list was filled before the end of the day.
We are beyond words thankful for our Jefferson City family, that took time out of their week to cook hams, bake pies, and mash potatoes so that Thanksgiving could happen for our Jefferson City youth. The food was sensational, and we were humbled by the capacity of our supporters to show love in a hurry.
We also want to thank Solid Rock Church for hosting us in their gym so our kids could get out a little energy after their meal. Additional thanks to the lovely volunteers who came early to set up and stayed well after everything was done to clean up. You are amazing.
Jefferson City family, you gave us so much to be thankful for this holiday season. We honor you as our Jefferson City Volunteers of the Month!

And, of course, we have to share some amazing art that HALO youth created!
If you're interested in making an impact in these kids' lives, sign up to volunteer today!
