Top 5 Things You Need To Know About The 2014 ArtReach Auction

It’s kind of hard to believe, but this year will mark the 9th time we’ve held our ArtReach Auction. And 2014 is sure to be our best year yet because we’ve changed a few things. Not only do we have the best volunteers in Kansas City, but we’ve created a brand new experience for this year’s event. Of course, there will still be great food, beautiful art and inspiring stories, but here are the top five things you need to know about the HALO Foundation’s 9th Annual ArtReach Auction:

  • We’ve Moved!

In year’s past we’ve hosted the annual ArtReach Auction in several event spaces, but most recently we hosted it at Studio Dan Meiners. Dan’s space was beautiful and Dan and his staff always went above and beyond to make our events a wonderful experience. However, as the HALO Foundation has grown, so did the art auction. That’s why this year you’ll find us at Arrowhead Stadium. Now more of our supporters (over 300 of them) can join us for this memorable event

  • We’ve Got A Brand New Look

Every year the ArtReach Auction has a new theme to bring HALO’s mission to life, and this year is no exception. However, this year it’s not just about empowering our youth – it’s also about empowering you! So the 2014 theme for the Kansas City art auction (and for the rest of the year) is “Make Your Mark.” Now, more than ever, we’re committed to helping you meet your goals to do more. We know you’re passionate about making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth in Kansas City and around the world and we’re passionate about making it easier than ever.

  • We’re Ready To Make A Bigger Impact

In 2013 the ArtReach Auction raised almost $100,000, but this year we want to do more. Our mission is to empower youth in the greatest need to become contributing members of their communities. To do this, we have to provide all the resources HALO youth need – and that means things like food, clothing, art therapy and education. We also want to be able to help more youth around the world and in Kansas City, which means we have to start thinking bigger. $100,000 bigger. To make HALO’s impact bigger and better, this year’s ArtReach Auction goal is $200,000 – but we need your help to get there!

  • We Want Everybody (And We Mean Everybody) To Attend

Like we said before, previous ArtReach Auctions were a bit smaller and had limited space. That is not the case this year. Because of our new venue we have room for over 300 people, so we created more seating options to accommodate all of you! Whether you want a shared seat at a table, a table for you and your friends, a table for your whole family, or another option, we’ve got the ticket for you.

  • We’ve Got A Few Surprises

While we’ll have great live and silent auction items, beautiful artwork and great food, we’ve also got a few new things up our sleeve. The only way to find out what they are? Join us at 7 p.m. on February 28 at Arrowhead Stadium!
