From the very beginning, Halo Foundation and the mentors picked me from dust and believed in my potentials. Your investment in my education provided me with opportunities to focus fully on my studies without the burden of financial constraints. I would like to say, your support extended far beyond monetary assistance, it was a life-line of encouragement, love and Hope that carried me through challenges and fueled my aspirations.

To talk about the mentorship I received at the safe shelter and beyond, it was nothing short of life changing.  Your guidance instilled in me the value of perseverance, integrity and compassion- qualities essential for my field and personal growth. The wisdom imparted in me by the team in Uganda(Harriet, Joyce and Paddy among others) inspired me to see challenges not as obstacles but a stepping stone to success and to see life as a challenge to challenge.

As I stand at the cusp/edge of earning my degree today, I reflect on how far I have come, and it is so clear that I would not be here without the unwavering support from Halo Foundation. Your generosity to Children has given me a gift of education, your mentorship has shaped my characters, and your empowerment programs has prepared me to step into the world as a confident and capable social worker. I therefore take this opportunity to thank you and ask you to continue supporting my brothers and sisters who are still in the program and many more vulnerable children.
