Meet Nakato Winnie

Nakato tells us how HALO helped change her life…
“The time I came in the home I used to be a very bad person. I used to behave in a weird manner. To an extent people couldn’t even tolerate me. Not even my mom could tolerate my character. There were a lot of things she used to say. She would even speak words I would not even expect a parent to say to me. Saying that where would you go if I happen to leave this world. Who would take you on? All that was because I used to behave very bad when I was with her. Connecting me to [HALO] has really changed me because I’ve been counseled, I’ve been guided and it has made me to change from a bad person I used to be to a better person. The organization has also helped me in the area of education which took me on from primary four to senior 6…. It has also helped to learn how I can connect to people and associate with the people I don’t know. How am I supposed to behave in the society? It has been all the work of the organization to make me what I am…. The organization has made me confident”.
