HALO is now hiring for a Youth Care Manager at the HALO Jefferson City Home.
HALO Youth Care Manager is a full-time position that will focus on the HALO Housing Program. Responsibilities of the position include:
- Assesses youth needs & eligibility for the HALO Home and refers to other services when necessary
- Collaborate with Jefferson City school system, law enforcement and child welfare services
- Responsible for proper implementation of HALO’s Written Intake Policy
- Facilitate resident involvement in HALO programming for the Home and within the HALO Center
- Coordinate counseling or crises intervention as required
- Work closely with Residential Supervisors on the supervision and case management of residents
- Actively engage with residents and their dependents, forming trusting relationships with them
- Encourage/empower residents as they go through the program
- Must maintain proper and detailed resident case notes
- Ensures HALO highest standards are maintained to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct and to ensure HALO Home remains in compliance with residential licensing and HALO policy.
- Assist staff in the event of an emergency
- Assist in transportation of residents to appointments and activities
- Assist with future planning, program development and policy creation as needed.
- Serve as a role model in carrying out HALO’s mission, values and vision.
Qualifications:
- The Youth Care Manager is committed to HALO’s mission.
- Must have obtained a minimum of a high school diploma. Undergraduate degree or degree in progress preferred. Background in counseling or case management preferred but not required
- Must have impeccable attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to lead and manage projects
- Critical thinking and creative problem solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Candidates must have a clean driving record and must pass a background check
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Salary will be discussed during the interview
