The Greatest Leaders of All

HALO Founder Rebecca Welsh writes:

“The wonderful thing about my job is I get to watch people use their gifts for good. I believe this is what we were all made to do in one way or another.

There is a lovely young woman named Chelsea McGill. She is a busy mama of 2 beautiful girls and a business woman. Every week, at the same time, she carves out time to help us with anything we might need. Chelsea comes to our home, sits down with the girls one-on-one and patiently teaches them about the concept of money; how to make it, how to spend it, how to save it. As one might imagine, this is not an easy task, but Chelsea talks in a way that makes the girls want to listen. She leads each girl through one of the most important things they will ever learn.

Chelsea never complains, never grumbles, and always shows up with a smiling face and a positive attitude. When we have a volunteer who is leading by example like that, it is contagious and only makes everyone around her want to do the same.

Sometimes those who are working quietly in the wings are the greatest leaders of all. Chelsea is one of those. Thank you Chelsea for being so consistent in the lives of our HALO girls. You will have a ripple effect in each of their lives and their families for generations to come.”
