United Way Grant to help youth get an education

Imagine you can’t get to high school. It’s not because you are too tired to get out of bed, and it’s not because you can’t find your keys. Imagine the only reason you won’t go to school is because you have no way to get there.

For many youth in Jefferson City, this is a significant and real problem.

At HALO, we want to see youth grow into all they can be. Getting an education is an essential part of becoming a contributing member of a community.

Thanks to United Way of Central Missouri, our HALO Jefferson City branch can be a part of solving this problem. We recently received a grant to purchase a 15-passenger van to transport at-risk and homeless youth in crisis around the city.

Our partners like United Way of Central Missouri play an integral role in carrying out our mission, and we are so appreciative of their generosity!
